If you have been sinking hours into Black Ops 7 Zombies, you probably cannot stand OSCAR right now, and it is even worse when you are not in a chilled CoD BO7 Bot Lobby but on a sweaty high-round run. One minute you are cruising, the next this walking tank marches in with a pack of drones orbiting him like loyal bodyguards. You dump mags into him and it feels like you are firing foam darts. The drones soak up shots, the boss barely flinches, and even after you clear the sky, his health bar just sits there. Then he shows up again a few rounds later like nothing happened. If you keep trying to out-damage him in the open, you are basically playing on his terms rather than yours.
Gear Up Before You Push Him
You really cannot roll into an OSCAR fight with base guns and hope for the best. Get your main weapon and a backup Pack-a-Punched, or you are just wasting ammo and time. Standard rounds feel like they are bouncing off his armor once you hit mid rounds. It helps a lot if you have a squad who know how to peel zombies off you so you can focus on the boss, but solo is fine as long as you run decent crowd control. A good ammo mod or field upgrade that slows or stuns the horde makes a huge difference. Once your setup is online, stop thinking of it as a pure DPS check. The real play is to funnel him through the map’s built-in traps and let the environment do most of the work.
Using The Sunlight Beam Trap
The Sunlight Beam in the Pack-a-Punch room is by far the cleanest way to delete OSCAR when things line up. When you walk in, hit the steaming valves round the room first to bring the machine online. Then move over to the telescope next to the organ and line it up with the sun; it is a bit fiddly at first, but you get used to the angle. Once it is aimed, activate the trap and start kiting OSCAR into that zone between the organ and the PaP machine. Keep him on your hip, drag him onto the glowing platform, and do not panic if a few zombies slip past. When the beam fires, he just melts. No massive ammo dump, no panic reloads, just one clean shot and he is gone.
Rocket Trap And Cryo Setup
If you want a slightly messier but still effective option, the Rocket Trap near the museum gets the job done. You do need Cryofreeze on your gun, so make sure you grab that before you commit. While you are roaming, look for those purple Aetherium crystals dotted round the area. Hit them with Cryofreeze, grab the Absolute Zero shards that drop, and keep them ready. When OSCAR spawns, drag him across the museum yard and keep him trailing behind you, not ahead. Time your movement so he is right behind the rocket when you trigger the trap. The explosion plus your Cryo setup chunks him hard, and if you have cleared most of the nearby zombies beforehand, it feels way less chaotic.
Luminarium Overcharge For The Wonder Weapon
Players who want the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon have to go through the Luminarium Overcharge route, and it is more like a side quest than a quick kill. First, let one of OSCAR’s drones survive long enough to get damaged, then pick up the busted one when it drops. Next, head over to "Ol’ Tessie", shoot under the hood with a PaP weapon and grab the car battery that pops out. After that, look for the blinking lamppost and snag the Aberrant Wires hanging off it. Take all three pieces to the Luminarium and install them inside. Once it is rigged, bring OSCAR into the zone and keep him there while the machine charges up; the overcharge pulses will chew through him. It is slower and a bit fiddly, but when he finally drops and you walk away with the LGM-1, that grind feels worth it, especially if you are mixing in some relaxed runs in a CoD BO7 Bot Lobbies buy session with friends.
