Served on a team as a data analyst, working under direction of the Chief of Informatics, Chief of Epidemiology, and Director of Communicable Diseases to process data requests into official reports. Data analyses primarily consisted of risk analyses, descriptive epidemiology, network modeling/analysis of contact tracing data, and other statistical evaluations of the novel coronavirus data. • Coded and developed algorithms for the City of San Antonio to prepare a clean data file and run in-depth epidemiological graphing and analysis for official reporting using SAS. • Designed and implemented trainings for the roughly 200 individuals serving on the San Antonio COVID Response Team to ensure proper data consistency, quality, and validity during the case investigation and entry process. • Collaborated with Texas DSHS contracted developers to troubleshoot and improve the functionality of our database management system, Texas Health Trace. • Served as data cleaning lead and directly supervised a team of 5 while helping to oversee a team of 26 and working to address specialized questions from other teams. • Served on an interdisciplinary response committee with leads from Data Entry, Congregate Settings, Epidemiology, Case Investigation, Contact Investigation, and Medical Records teams.
