De Tropix consists of two main members, Singer songwriter Cherry B & Producer & Vocalist Instinct, they met through mutual friends whilst living in London and it soon became apparent that they shared a passion for music. Cherry was raised in ST Vincent & The Grenadines (the Caribbean for those thinking where that is) before moving to England to further her performing art’s studies in which she excelled. This move lead to Cherry working on numerous music videos and also TV Commercials in both the UK & US. In more recent years cherry has been working and touring with XL/INTERSCOPE records signing M.I.A. singing and supporting on her live shows, across the world in countries including The US, Japan, Australia and South America. Instinct was born from an English mother and Caribbean father(Also from St Vincent) raised in Luton but now a firm resident in the big smoke known as London City. He started out in the Music game as a DJ playing Hip Hop,House & Garage & Bashment on pirate radio shows and club nights, dabbled in music making with friends, before making his move to London to further his career on the DJ circuit and to progress his music making skills. Instinct has played in some of London’s most legendary clubs including PACHA, MINISTRY OF SOUND & THE AQUARIUM. In recent years, Instinct has been honing his production Skills and doing various booty remixes, which have been slowly getting more attention by DJ's such As BBC Radio 1's Bobby Friction & Kiss FM's Sinden to name a few. Today Cherry & Instinct are working together as DE TROPIX, a band who’s songs carry the influences of many different styles and songs to capture many moods. DE TROPIX are busy in the studio working on their debut LP & Album and are currently looking at dates to perform up and down the country and spread their tropical vibe!
