Shop drawings, product data and samples are the most popular kinds of construction submittals. Shop drawings are explanations of how parts will be constructed, and installed. Product data has specifications of materials or equipment which includes specifications of the performance and installation guidelines. Samples are physical quantities (tiles or paint) to be visually approved and to be approved as a quality. Each of them comes in handy to facilitate approval of elements adopted by stakeholder prior to being mounted on-site.
