Etizolam is a thienodiazepine medication used primarily for the short-term treatment of anxiety and insomnia in some countries. While chemically similar to benzodiazepines, it is often classified separately. It carries a high risk of dependence, tolerance, and severe withdrawal symptoms, including rebound anxiety and seizures.
