Running solo in ARC Raiders can feel like you're queueing into someone else's highlight reel, so I started treating the map like a tool kit, not just a place to hide. If you keep tabs on ARC Raiders Items and what you can realistically carry out, you'll notice a pattern: most squads don't lose fights at extraction, they lose patience. They sprint in, eager to finish you, and that's the crack you pry open.

Pick the fight before they do

Open extractions are brutal. No rocks, no walls, just sky and bad news. So I stopped playing "quiet" the moment I knew a team had my line. If there's a dormant Rocketeer nearby, I wake it up on purpose. Not from across the map either. I get close, dump a couple of loud shots into it, then back off. It flips from scenery to problem instantly, and now the squad has two threats to solve instead of one. You'll hear the commotion right away: footsteps stutter, someone tosses a flare, someone else peeks wide and gets punished by splash damage. That little hiccup is your breathing room.

Use chaos to steal position

While they're staring at the bot and trying to "manage" it, you move. Don't overthink it. Just relocate into the one spot that forces them to make a choice, like the extraction lift interior. People love to call it cheesy, but it's honest math. A three-stack wants angles, crossfire, and space. A doorway gives them none of that. If they push, they push into a funnel. If they wait, the Rocketeer keeps pressuring them and burning their utility. Either way, you've traded an open-field disadvantage for a tight, predictable fight, and solos live off predictability.

Work the doors like a weapon

The nastiest part is also the simplest: the lift doors. A lot of players forget you can control that timing, and timing is everything. If you down one rusher and they start crawling in, don't get sentimental. Close the doors. Not at the last tick, not as a joke, but as a decision. You're not trying to "style" on them, you're trying to stop the revive chain and force the remaining two to either overextend or abandon their teammate. When it works, it feels cold, yeah. But you walk out with your loot, and they're left scrambling outside, thinking about their next run and your ARC Raiders gear by U4gm instead of yours.
