I didn't want to pay for upgrades, so I've been working on making my system run as efficiently as possible. I deleted unused apps, purged my temp files and turned off any other services that were consuming resources. I started my computer up again, and it was a lot smoother. Simple changes that make older systems run much better without the need of costly hardware changes involve keeping the software up to date and clearing up storage space.
